Man Hunter is a shooter-hunting type game, except you don’t hunt animals – you hunt humans. Released in November 2009, it was published under the licensing of AddictingGames. It proved to be a runaway hit, launching with a 90% rating on AddictingGames.com, and garnering much fan fare across the web.

Man Hunter took 3 months from conception to sponsorship – or in total only taking about 1 full week of work, with most of the time being allocated to the drawing of all the graphic assets.

The idea was based upon the short story, The Most Dangerous Game, by Richard Connell, in which a wealthy man owned an island, specifically for the hunting of humans. Man Hunter was even originally titled Most Dangerous Game, but due to rights and marketing concerns it was changed.

Being based on a short story read by many high schoolers at the time, the tween audience immediately noticed it. Man Hunter was tailor made for the 13-17 age demographic and it indeed reached its mark.

But Wait!? What is Man Hunter?

Man Hunter is a hunting simulation game. But obviously you’re not hunting animals. To the most cynical hunter, they ARE game. The most dangerous of all GAME in fact. For literature enthusiasts, Man Hunter has been inspired and is a flash game rendition of “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell.  Now to give you the deets:

• 30 Days to hunt
• 10 Different prey, and different techniques are needed to take them down.
• 3 random levels: Jungle, Mountains, and Valley.
• 17 upgradeable weapons, gear, and accessories
