In this game you are Ski-Man, placed on top of an infinitely tall mountain, with the goal of surviving by having to consume pills on the way down. A fast paced avoider game with insane visuals. Originally called Over Ski, but changed due to a slightly suggestive title (obviously), the title was released in early 2009 under the licensing of AddictingGames and under our former brand TheFlashBot.

Ski Runner took approximately a month for full completion, or around 80 working hours.

You all may have heard of Greg-Anim’s Death Dice Overdose. Greg’s game was a huge influence in the direction of the game, and Ski Runner definitely pays homage to Greg’s great visual style.

The composer of the main theme song, Atomic Inc, is a genius. People loved the song “Tropical” and in return gave him plenty of publicity. Hope to work with the composer again in a remix for a direct sequel. Listen to the song at NewGrounds.

Ski Runner was IronZilla’s early breakout hit, amassing a huge following with it’s release on AddictingGames.com, having a rating of 90%, 4.13 out of 5 on NewGrounds, and 3.85 out of 5 on Kongregate. It has received well over 5 million plays across the internet in its lifetime, and thousands of dedicated fans on Facebook (I wasn’t even aware there was a National Ski Runner high score day event).
