Dragon Age  (BioWare, EA) – So Dragon Age, a fantasy RPG game created by BioWare and EA, doesn’t come out until November 3rd. So what do we get until then?

Something just as great since it’s completely free, Dragon Age Journeys! So get to stepping, because you can start earning in-game loot as of now.

Dragon Age Journeys is a Flash Game, where players explore the underground world of Orzammar. You can earn three items that will transfer to the console versions of Dragon Age.

DA Journeys is reminiscent of  Monster’s Den, and classic Baldur’s Gate, and Diablo. Gameplay consists of the usual item management, turn based battles, and gaining experience and collecting loot. It’s certainly not a long game, but it is really worth the play through.

“An RPG Defense Shooter”

Ninja Kiwi, the masterminds behind the billion hit wonder Bloons (you probably think we’re exaggerating… sadly we’re not). Bloons has attained quite the legendary status since it’s very first release, and is a common name among flash developers, as well as gamers. If you’re part of the few that haven’t heard of Bloons, let us fill you in!

Yeah. Those red bloons pretty much explode everywhere.

It is a game that evokes emotion, love, sadness, grief…well maybe at times when you’re frustrated at not being able to pop all the balloons. Sounds simple? It’s not! Gameplay consists of throwing darts from a monkey and trying to pop the required amount of Bloons to pass to the next level. Each setup is harder than the last, and there are literally VAST amounts of player produced levels.

And that brings us to our next point, Ninja Kiwi’s ability to franchise this cute game, as well as back it up with ITERATION after ITERATION, and creating even more franchises such as Meeblings, SAS Zombie Assault, and BoomBot.

COLONY FLASH GAME – Not a relatively new game, but wow, this flash endeavor is one of those games that push the frontier. It was released in July, but the commotion over the game still hasn’t quite died yet.

Created by Krin of ArmorGames, one of the developers behind the hit game Sonny 2. Colony obviously derives its inspiration from the likes of starcraft, especially in its art and design.

Colony also plays in the style of games like Age of War (MaxGames) and WarFare 1944 (ArmorGames) and is reminiscent of mainstream RTS games such as Command and Conquer. Graphics are superbly and clean, and action can get very frantic when alot of objects are on screen.
